Books and reading.

My dad loves to collect and read books, I grew up seeing him buy books from time to time and read them.  So when I got married and was blessed with a son, I got slightly obsessed with children's books especially board & felt books.

Bought these books in a book sale store (a store where they sell pre-loved books in a cheaper price).

Whenever I get to go to a book sale store, I always go home with some books in hand for my son.
We don't have much space in our very tiny house --  but I guess I could ask hubby to build me a multi-purpose book shelf for my little boy's books.

Reading books has been one of our favorite past-time. We usually read in the morning, upon waking up or after watching his favorite cartoons in the television.

Exploring Scissors with my 2s & 3s

Using scissors are one of the fine motor skills that are quite difficult for child, yet they are very important for hand and fingers' practice thus requiring a hand-eye coordination.

For a teacher of a group of 7-10 2s & 3-year-old kids, a cutting activity is scary. Thus it needs a maximum supervision for every kid while doing the activity.

With a constant reminder of dos and don'ts before handing them the scissors and we are ready to start.

Child's drawing

The child's drawing is not just mere product of his/her imagination.

Sometimes it is what he feels towards something or someone.

Sometimes it is what he experiences at home or with friends.

And sometimes it is what's inside his heart.

I am always fond of letting my kids draw from time to time. I want to know what's running inside their mind, even if they are not telling me.

Just by looking at their drawing, i would know what they wants, what happened at home, or what tv programs they like best.

Happy 3rd birthday, son!

It's been three years already when God gave me the gift of "motherhood". Since then, a lot of things started to change.
Despite and inspite of all the changes, I was so blessed beyond measure to have given the privilege to become a mother to this young little boy.

Today, he is turning 3 years old. He is at the prime of his toddlerhood. Aww, you know what "toddler" means -- it's quite a challenge but God has been faithful in helping me deal with him during those times.

What I love most about him, is that he is so "malambing" -- as he always say "I love you, mommy" or hugs and kisses me.

He is also smart and very observant.

He never fail to amaze me whenever I see him learned new things -- one I am most grateful for is when I see him clapped his hands and bowed his head in prayer. As it is always my desire to see him grow in the Lord.
