flower garden of 5s

Skip counting can be a bit hard to memorize.
One way of helping my students memorize/familiarize skip counting by fives.. i gave them this activity...

They have to arrange all the flowers, skip count by 5s starting from 5 till 100.
Others have difficulty in arranging them correctly, so i asked those students who are good at it to assist those that have difficulty.

When everything is arranged correctly, they have to glue them in the paper.

With the use of water color, they have to add details to make it more colorful.

This is the outcome. I placed them around the walls of our room.

Painting activity

Painting are one of the things that my students love to do.
It's kinda messy but it's worth it.
It enhances their fine motor skills as well as their creativity and imagination.

Gift for Parents - Bracelet

"I'm giving, I'm giving because I love JESUS. I'm giving, I'm giving because I love HIm."

It's December -- and mostly it's time for giving and receiving gifts. We decided to give our parents a key chain or a bracelet (its for dual purpose). Parents may use it as a bracelet or as a key chain.

I gave each kid beads of different colors.. because the beads are so small. I have to remind them over and over again not to put anything in their mouth, noses or ears. And of course, i have to be very watchful of everyone. Making sure of their safety. They don't have any patterns to follow, they just have to use their imagination and creativity.

Once they started, the fell silent.. Hmmm.. I really appreciate a moment of silence, :)
The concentrate on putting each beads into the thread, :)

When all the beads were in the thread, i would help them tie both ends to lock.
You could just imagine and happy they are when they see the finished product.

The excitement in their faces can be seen. They are so much excited to give this to their parents.

To make more presentable, we put it inside a plastic and label it with their names.

A simple keepsake for their loving parents, :)

Thank You Cards

Our Thanksgiving Party is fast approaching. We were making card to be given to their parents, written inside were notes of love ad thanks from their hearts.

They were given colored papers and construction boards.
I told them to think of something that they would like to draw or cut something that would make their cards more beautiful.

They started to cut.

Draw using colored pens and pencils.

Glue different cut-out shapes.

And presto! Its done.
